Health for all means healthy society. Mobility products such as wheel chairs, stair lifts, access ramps, mobility scooters etc, are some tools to facilitate elderly as well as disabled people of the society.
These are mobility aids and the aging and the disabled population of our society attain some level of freedom and self reliance upon using them. They don’t have to depend on another person as these will be convenient modes of their mobility.
The mobility products offer not just mobility assistance but indeed the much needed confidence so the elderly and the physically disabled accomplish their tasks easily and efficiently, both indoor and outdoor.
Wheel has been the greatest invention of man and it paved way for convenience modes of commuting, and the latest innovations in the field of mobility has actually resulted in several devices and modes of mobility especially to help the disabled and the aging people. Wheel chair has been one such locomotive device embraced by many; from orthopedic patients to expectant mothers who experience risky pregnancy to elderly people to physically handicapped people.
However, a lot of work has been done on these wheelchairs and these now feature advanced safety and comfort features. They come manually operated and battery operated to even gas operated; more than anything they are made so to be handled with so much ease. They are pretty much assisting for indoor locomotion.
When it came to stair lifts these are again sophisticated innovations for efficient mobility indoors. For reasons including physical disability or age, people who cannot walk up and down the stairs are forced to stay in isolation. These stair lifts break the norm as these are the ideal mobility aids to help people cross the stairs.
Latest stair lifts come with advanced safety and convenient features that can be operable by even young disabled children. In fact the wheelchairs and stair lifts with walkers make an otherwise disabled person self reliant as they can perform their activities with ease.
Then there are mobility scooters which are indeed regarded as ideal mobility aids for assisting a disabled person in outdoor mobility.
There is 4 wheeler mobility scooter as a well as a 3 wheeler mobility scooter. While the 3 wheeler scooter has its advantages in being compact and portable the 4-wheeler scooter is a better bet when it came to safety. These mobility scooters are to take the disabled person on roads, so they can perform activities including banking, grocery purchases, etc independently.
The wheelchair, stair lifts, mobility scooters and walkers are all products of hi-tech society to help the disabled to be self reliant. With these coming handy, they don’t have to wait for someone to take them around for their everyday activities. They have certainly improved the quality of life of these people and are examples of civilized society.
